Horizon 2020 work programme for 2016-2017 with new Cofund topics

The European Commission will invest almost €16 billion in research and innovation in the next two years under Horizon 2020, the EU's research and innovation funding scheme, following a new work programme for 2016-2017 adopted on 13 October 2015. The work programme is now available on the participant portal. The 2016-2017 Work Programme includes 27 ERA-NET Cofunds, with a total budget close to 260 M€. A list of all Cofunds is available here.
The new Work Programmes also includes two European Joint Programming Cofunds (EJPs). EJPs are designed to pool together rather large national programmes, resources and capacities and strive to not only bring together resources in terms of funding, but also in terms of capacity building, networking, demonstration and dissemination activities. The first EJP to be launched will a Societal Challenge 1 EJP: The European Human Biomonitoring Initiative (50 M€), followed by One Health EJP in Societal Challenge 2 in 2016-2017 (35 M€).
