WaterWorks opens new call cofunded by EC

The WaterWorks2015 (2016 Joint Call) by Water JPI and FACCE-JPI is now open for project proposals. Under the call theme "Sustainable management of water resources in agriculture, forestry and freshwater aquaculture sectors" a total indicative budget of EUR 25.5 million will be available for collaborative research and innovation projects. The Netherlands participates with an indicative budget of 300 K€. The projects have to address at least one of the following topics:

  • Increasing the efficiency and resilience of water uses
  • Monitoring and reducing soil and water pollution
  • Integrating social and economic dimensions into the sustainable management and governance of water resources

Project proposals must be submitted in a two-stage application procedure. The first deadline for a pre-proposal is 19 April 2016 (17h00 CEST); the full proposal must be submitted by 15 September 2016 (17h00 CEST). Evaluation will be carried out according to criteria stated in the call. Projects can be expected to start in March/April 2017.

Water JPI and FACCE-JPI harmonise and mobilise national and regional research and innovation funding programmes. WaterWorks2015 is co-funded by 25 national funding bodies and supported by the Horizon 2020 ERA-Net scheme.
