The WaterWorks 2014 Mid-term Evaluation Meeting of research, development and innovation (RDI) projects will take place in Larnaca, Cyprus, on 8 May 2018, back to back with the Water JPI Governing Board Meeting on 9 May 2018.
The ERA-NET Cofund WaterWorks2014 was launched in 2014 in support of the Water JPI. WaterWorks2014 aims at tackling European water challenges through the development of transnational and trans-disciplinary research and innovation actions. Its purpose is to integrate the efforts and Strategic Agendas of many European Water Research and Innovation Funding Organisations.
The WaterWorks2014 cofunded call with the topic “Research and Innovation for Developing Technological Solutions and Services for Water Systems" was launched on 2 March 2015. The aim of call is to enable transnational, collaborative RDI projects addressing questions relating to the water challenges faced by European society. A total of 16 research projects were selected for funding: ACWAPUR, Biorg4WasteWaterVal+, DESERT, DOMINO, IMDROFLOOD, INXCES, IRIDA, MEPROWARE, MUFFIN, Pioneer_STP, PROGNOS, SIM, STEEP STREAMS, TH.E.R.BIO.R, watintech, WE-NEED. Four of these have a Dutch consortium coordinator: DOMINO, MUFFIN, and SIM: Delft University of Technology, INXCES: Hanze University of Applied Acience, Groningen.
The purpose of the mid-term review meeting is to present the current development of the projects, and to provide the opportunity to exchange ideas and feedback.
